LEGO® Serious Play®

LEGO® Serious Play® (LSP)  is a powerful facilitation method that enables teams to express complex ideas, uncover hidden insights, and build (literally!) shared understanding. By constructing and sharing models using LEGO bricks, participants engage in metaphorical thinking, deepen their listening skills, and align around what really matters.

LSP was developed in the late 1990s by Johan Roos and Bart Victor, in collaboration with the LEGO Group, to help businesses enhance strategic thinking, communication, and team dynamics.

LEGO® Serious Play® (LSP) workshops typically involve:

  1. Skills-building to warm up abstract thinking and storytelling.
  2. Individual  LEGO model building to explore identity, challenges, or aspirations.
  3. Shared  LEGO model creation to align around team goals or strategic direction.
  4. Action planning to translate insight into next steps.

  1. Improved clarity on what motivates team members.
  2. Concrete ideas for improving collaboration and ownership.
  3. Team-level commitments to build a more empowering work environment.
  4. Individual insights into what each person needs to thrive.

Creative Problem-Solving

Creative Problem Solving (CPS), is the first modern, general-purpose approach to problem-solving that is structured, repeatable, and teachable. It is a universal framework for solving any kind of challenge – strategic, operational, social, or creative.

Developed by Osborn & Parnes in the 1950s, CPS aims to support individuals regardless of their role or background in tackling challenges with creativity and effectiveness.

CPS follows a six-stage process:

  1. Explore the Vision – Clarify the desired future or long-term goal.
  2. Gather Data – Understand the current reality and context.
  3. Formulate Challenges – Reframe the gap between vision and reality as opportunities for improvement.
  4. Explore Ideas – Generate a wide range of possible ideas without judgment.
  5. Formulate Solutions – Select and strengthen ideas into workable solutions.
  6. Formulate a Plan – Build commitment and develop an actionable implementation plan.

  1. It helps people navigate ambiguity, reframe problems as opportunities, and move from stuck to action.
  2. Participants learn to use divergent and convergent thinking deliberately, a core skill in adaptive, innovative organisations.
  3. We train teams not only in CPS theory but also in the practical use of tools and facilitation techniques to support collaborative innovation.

Problem-Solving Sprints

Problem-Solving Sprints are fast-paced, immersive workshops—typically lasting one or two days that help teams tackle a specific challenge or opportunity.

Whether you’re launching a new product, tackling a service bottleneck, or navigating strategic uncertainty, the Sprint gives you clarity and momentum—fast.

Drawing on design thinking, CPS, and facilitation best practices, Sprints guide participants through a structured arc from problem framing to actionable solutions. Sprints work best for accelerating strategic thinking, aligning teams and solving what matters.

Our Sprint format includes:

  1. Pre-session scoping and stakeholder interviews.
  2. A high-energy workshop experience combining divergent exploration with convergent decisions.
  3. Clear outputs, such as draft prototypes, action plans, or reframed strategies

  1. Create a clear roadmap with specific actions, assigned owners, and defined timelines.
  2. In just one or two days, cross-functional teams move from insight to action.
  3. A more confident, creative team equipped for future challenges.

These workshops aimed to engage participants from diverse backgrounds in contemplating what defines a creative city, utilising applied imagination to empower them to take real-world actions.

G5A is a multifunctional cultural hub in Mumbai, dedicated to experimental and independent arts practice.  By providing a vibrant, safe, and inclusive platform for innovative projects, G5A has emerged as a dynamic force in redefining the artistic landscape of the city. Founded by architect and filmmaker Anuradha Parikh, G5A occupies a unique and indispensable niche within Mumbai’s creative community, showcasing emerging talent and inviting the community to engage in meaningful dialogues around socio-cultural issues.
