What is psychological safety and why does it matter?
Psychological safety is about fostering a culture in which new ideas are invited, trying something different is supported, and failure is seen as a vital part of learning and development.
If you get this right, you will create a workplace which is resilient, productive, innovative and adept at attracting and retaining talent.

Course outline
During this interactive session we will:
Explore the current state of your organisation and identify strengths and weaknesses in terms of psychological safety
Consider behaviours, structures and cultural norms which undermine psychological safety
Learn practical tools and techniques that will build trust, respect and create a psychologically safe environment
Work on developing your organisation’s vision and strategy for creating psychological safety

By the end of this session you will be able to:
Identify what psychological safety is and why it’s important
Pinpoint the things that undermine psychological safety
Analyse the factors that drive psychological safety
Develop a strategy to support psychological safety in your team
Duration and delivery
This training can be delivered as either a a two-hour introduction to psychological safety, or a four-hour deep dive in which we will spend more time working on your organisation’s strategy for creating psychological safety. You can choose between in-person, virtual or hybrid delivery modes.
