Become a Qualified Lego Serious Play Facilitator
This programme is designed for team leaders, coaches, consultants, and facilitators eager to enhance their skills with innovative and engaging methods who want to become a qulified Lego Serious Play facilitator.
Serious Play using Lego is a compelling and engaging process and perfect for fostering innovation, collaboration, and helping teams generate new ideas. It works brilliantly in face-to-face workshops as well as in remote workshops, and we find that the ‘hands-on’ element drives engagement and keeps people’s energy high. It makes a refreshing change from the usual online conferences and meetings.
LSP sessions run with the facilitator asking questions and participants “building” their responses in Lego. The participants then share the stories behind their models in turn. The models can be around a particular theme or address a specific problem or challenge, and we would typically have several rounds of questions, building and storytelling.
Why use LSP for facilitating meetings & workshops?
LSP is a powerful facilitation method designed to unlock creative thinking, improve problem-solving, and enhance team collaboration. It enables participants to express complex ideas, break down silos, and drive meaningful discussions using hands-on, three-dimensional models.
Whether you’re a consultant, trainer, coach, or leader, this method helps you engage teams in a deeper, more productive way.

I left the three-day course searching for any opportunity to try out what I’d learned. As a participant, I was fully engaged, and as a facilitator, I can’t wait to try out the new tools I now have in my toolkit.

Our Lego Serious Play Training For Facilitators
We deliver the Lego Serious Play training over three days using the course designed by Lego Serious Play Master Trainer Jacquie Lloyd Smith, founder of Strategic Play Global. By the end of the course, you will be equipped with a deep understanding of the method, how to apply it to team and group settings and the confidence to go ahead and start delivering your own LSP workshops. Upon completing the course, you will be a fully registered and qualified Lego Serious Play facilitator.
There is no additional training or qualification required beyond this course, though many of the people we train take further specialist courses focusing on topics like Creative Problem Solving and Design Thinking.
To support our LSP qualified facilitators, we run a monthly Meetup to discuss tips and techniques to make your next workshop a raving success. You will have the opportunity to discuss ideas and workshop plans with other practitioners.
Day 1: Foundation
Learn the basics. We introduce you to the Lego Serious Play methodology. You will learn how to use the tools with a setting, including Flow theory, the Johari Window, the use of ground rules to set the playing field, etiquette, and traps to avoid, along with numerous applications for different situations to prep the hand-brain connection.
Day 2: Teams and Groups
The second day moves participants thorough processes where individual identity is explored and insight into how the tools can be customised for any number of Lego Serious Play workshops or training.
Day 3: Landscape and Systems Development
The third day of the LSP facilitator training will explain how to use the LSP Identity and Landscape Materials kit to build 3D models that illustrate the complex environments where entities like teams and projects and other interconnected systems function and how these environments ‘play out’ in real-time.
